Alex J. Parker is the founder and managing partner of Rose Cay. Parker developed the vision for an investment platform that could be tactical, investing into complex “special” situations across capital structures, while remaining fundamentally disciplined and unlocking value by building best-in-class teams empowered with technology to achieve superior outcomes in a rapidly changing landscape. Parker led Rose Cay’s major entry into maritime transport with the purchase, management, and operation of a targeted fleet of barges and tugboats following a high-profile transaction. In selecting vessels suited to be part of the U.S. core energy supply chain and establishing an operating team with industry leaders. Parker brings a spirit of entrepreneurial ingenuity to Rose Cay, with the ability to reimagine essential industries for the future. His track record as a real asset investment professional allows him to create innovative strategies to deploy capital and unlock value. Alex has experience with transaction origination, structuring, institutional investor outreach, and investment platform build out. Alex began his career at Aircastle, a mid-life aircraft leasing firm with both passenger and cargo aircraft, where he invested in over $1 billion of commercial jet aircraft while on the trading team. Alex has extensive relationships within the aircraft leasing industry from his time at Aircastle and current focus on aviation assets at Rose Cay. Alex is a former member of Parker Infrastructure Partners, LLC, an infrastructure investment firm focused on essential infrastructure assets. Alex holds a B.B.A. with dual concentrations in Finance and Organization Management from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.
